Prepare demonstrations in favor of housing this Saturday in Maó and Ciutadella

PalmaThe Platform for Decent Housing has announced through messaging channels that it is preparing demonstrations this Saturday in front of the town halls of Maó and Ciutadella in defense of the right to housing following the double state decree announced after the eviction of Maricarmen.

The collective has reported that the protest rally will take place between 7:00 PM and 10:00 PM and during the event slogans in favor of the right to decent housing will be displayed.

The announcement comes a few hours after the Council of Ministers approved two decrees to extend protection against evictions until 2030 and extend by two years existing rental contracts that end before December 31, 2028.
