Prices rebound 3.6% in the Balearic Islands due to the Middle East war

In the first three months of the year, compared to the same period in 2025, prices have increased by 1.3% and 1.4% between March and February

PalmPrices in the Balearic Islands have risen by 3.6% in March compared to the same month last year due to the war in the Middle East and the increase in fuel costs, according to data from the INE published this Tuesday.

In the first three months of the year, compared to the same period in 2025, prices have increased by 1.3% and 1.4% between March and February.

Primarily, the largest increases in March for prices in the Balearic Islands were recorded in restaurants and accommodation (7%), clothing and footwear (4.8%), alcoholic beverages and tobacco (4.7%), transport and insurance and financial services (4%), and personal care and others (3.6%).

In Spain, the National Statistics Institute (INE) has raised the inflation rebound to 3.4% in March for the same reason, which represents one tenth more than the advanced figure and 1.1 points more than the rate registered in February.
