Inca hosts the CòmicNostrum 2025 festival starting on Friday

PalmThe ComicNostrum International Festival 2025 officially begins this Friday at the future Comic Museum of Mallorca, in Inca, with exhibitions, workshops, screenings, master classes and a market, among other activities scheduled until the 30th.

The program includes internationally and nationally renowned authors, such as Javier Rodríguez (2025 Eisner Award winner), Olivier Schwartz, Irene Márquez, Leandro Fernández, Andrés Garrido, and Joan Mundet, among others. Following the opening in Palma de Coll, a giant in the world of comics, At the Casal Solleric, CòmicNostrum 2025 officially kicks off with the opening this Friday of Drawn Footprints. 13 comics with a footprint The exhibition, an initiative of the Mallorca Comics and New Media Cluster, produced by the museum and curated by Juan Roig, will be presented on the 28th at the Museum of Footwear and Industry, the Inca City Council announced in a statement. The exhibition brings together works by Alegra Agliardi, Liga, Francesca Corso, Flavia Gargiulo, Francisco Grimalt, Nívola Uyá, Bartolomé Seguí, Pere Joan, and other artists. The exhibition, comprised of original works from the Jaume Vaquer collection, offers a journey through the works and authors that have shaped the history of international comics and marks the beginning of the museum project, the result of an agreement signed between the Inca City Council, the Colonya Fundació Guillem Cifre, and the Comic Cluster and Nous Mèdia.

This exhibition symbolizes the beginning of a space dedicated to the preservation, research, and dissemination of comics in the Balearic Islands. The screenings of the documentaries Max the Illustrator, Pere Joan Album and Quinography They will take place at the Teatro Principal in Inca, in collaboration with ACIC and Amigos del Cine de Inca, which will also host the exhibition Comics with a lot of dramaProduced with their support and focused on the relationship between dramaturgy and comics. On the weekend of November 29th and 30th, Fábrica Ramis will host the Pop Up Comic Market, which will bring together authors, publishers, and readers in a meeting space dedicated to creation, signings, and the presentation of new publications.
