PalmThe Es Baluard Museum of Contemporary Art of Palma and the Consell de Mallorca have presented the projects that will be part of the B 2026 Biennial, an edition that expands the territorial reach with activities in Palma and Marratxí after an initial proposal spread across different points of the Archipelago.

The programming will be deployed in spaces such as Casal Solleric, La Misericòrdia, Es Baluard itself, and Sa Refinadora, with the aim of consolidating a model of institutional collaboration that connects territory, contemporary creation, and local traditions.

One of the first events will be on April 30 with the inauguration of an exhibition by Nuria Mora at Casal Solleric, curated by Pilar Rubí. The program also includes the exhibition project A media lumbre, co-produced with IVAM and curated by Blanca de la Torre, which will extend through various spaces in Mallorca and will incorporate a solo exhibition by Teresa Matas at Sa Refinadora.

The Biennial will arrive in September at the chapel of La Misericòrdia with an exhibition by ceramist Joan Pere Català Roig and a textile installation by Valeria Maculan, conceived as a scenic action linked to Mallorcan tradition.

With this set of proposals, the Biennial B reinforces the commitment to integrating contemporary practices with traditional knowledge, such as craftsmanship and the territory's trades. The involved institutions highlight that this edition consolidates the project as a transversal and decentralized cultural platform, aimed at generating new spaces for shared creation and thought.
