Pau Alabajos and Paz Aguado: poetry, song, and commitment in Manacor and Llubí
The singer-songwriters will perform on July 12 and 13 as part of the festival.
PalmOn July 12 and 13, the SonsDeNit 2025 festival hosts two nights with two artists named Pau: Pau Alabajos and Paz Aguado. On the 12th, they will perform in Manacor with two shows that understand song as a tool for thought, emotion, and resistance. On the 13th, in Llubí, the concert will be with Alabajos alone, who will present his show at both events. Verses in VietnameseThey come from Valencia and Formentera to share music with a conscience.
Pau Alabajos is one of the most solid and committed voices in Catalan singer-songwriter music. With over two decades of experience, he has built an intense and coherent body of work, always straddling beauty and the trenches. His works are born from the body, the territory, and critical thinking, and give rise to emotional and political landscapes that encompass memory, rage, tenderness, and hope. Verses in Vietnamese, a stage production that transforms anti-Franco Catalan poetry—with names like Espriu, Marçal, Estellés, Granell, and Margarit—into songs full of power and emotion. He is accompanied by a high-voltage poetic and sonorous band: Laura Navarro Garcia (violin), Adriana Valeria Sena Alcover (cello), David Barberá Sáiz (piano), Enrique Jerónimo "Gus" (drums and percussion), and himself on guitar and vocals.
Paz Aguado, visual artist, poet, and musician, comes from Formentera with an intimate and magnetic approach. Her songs speak to what's happening inside, with engaging lyrics and a moving voice. She combines folk, acoustic pop, and soft rock with sensitivity and a unique power. Live, she is accompanied by Patricio Felip (bass and heart) and Cani Huertas (percussion).
The concerts will be on July 12 in Manacor, with performances by Pau Alabajos and Paz Aguado, and on July 13 in Llubí, with a new opportunity to hear the project. Verses in Vietnamese.
