89.6% of students pass the Selectivitat, three points less than last year
The percentages of passes vary between the four islands, with Formentera at the forefront and Ibiza with the lowest rate
Palma89.6% of the students who took the ordinary call for the University Entrance Exams (PAU) in June have obtained a passing grade. In total, 3,533 students out of the 3,942 who took them have passed the exams. The average access grade – which combines the Baccalaureate qualification with the exam phase – stands at 7.086, a figure very similar to that recorded last year, when it was 7.099, according to the data provided.
By islands, the results show small variations. In Mallorca, 90.6% of those examined were suitable (2,879 students). In Menorca, the percentage drops to 86.4% (304 students), while in Ibiza it stands at 84.2% (335). In Formentera, on the other hand, the highest percentage is achieved, with 93.8% passing (15 students). Compared to the 92.5% of suitable candidates in the June 2025 call, this year the overall percentage drops slightly.
Without incidents or fraud
The UIB indicates that the test has been developed "normally and without notable incidents". As a novelty, this call has incorporated specific systems for detecting electronic devices with the aim of preventing possible cases of fraud. According to the available data, no attempt at copying has been detected, a circumstance attributed to both the applied technology and the surveillance work of the supervisory staff.
Regarding reviews, students can request until June 13th a new correction of the exams in which they consider there have been errors in the application of the evaluation criteria. The process may result in the grade being maintained, increased, or decreased, and the request must be processed online. The extraordinary call for the PAU will take place on June 30th, July 1st and 2nd.
