More than 900 public employees begin Catalan courses offered by the government.
The training offer includes 26 courses distributed between levels B2, C1, C2 and administrative language
Palm903 public administration workers began Catalan language courses today, promoted by the Government of Catalonia (Govern), through the Balearic School of Public Administration (EBAP), with the aim of strengthening the language skills of public service staff. The courses, which will end on February 16, 2026, are part of the 2025 Catalan Language Training Plan.
The training offer includes 26 courses distributed across four categories: level B2 (5 courses, 168 students), level C1 (7 courses, 240 students), and level C2 (280 students). The latter has been the most requested, with a total of 428 requests. Those registered must pass at least 80% of the mandatory activities to be eligible for the assessment tests, scheduled for March 2026.
A specific offer of oral expression workshops will be published during the month of October, aimed exclusively at students in these courses. These workshops will be held in Mallorca, Menorca, and Ibiza, with a total of 175 places, and are intended to strengthen preparation for the oral section of the official tests.
With this initiative, the Government of the Balearic Islands reaffirms its commitment to a quality Administration, close to its citizens and rooted in the linguistic reality of the territory.
