Arrested in Palma for threatening customers and employees of two bars with a knife
The National Police have intercepted the man after a chase on an electric scooter and the removal of a metal object.
PalmThe National Police arrested a man in Palma on Sunday as the suspected perpetrator of a serious threat offense after he intimidated customers and employees of two bars with a large knife. According to the police, on Sunday at midday, they received a call to 091 alerting them that a man was causing problems for workers and customers at a bar in Vileta. When officers from the Citizen Assistance Group arrived, the individual had already left on an electric scooter. However, several people were able to provide a detailed description of the man, who is known in the neighborhood for his aggressive behavior. Minutes later, another alert reported that an individual was threatening customers and staff at another bar in Son Roca. The officers in Vileta located the man trying to escape and, after a chase, intercepted him. During the escape, the individual had thrown a metal object under a car, which was later confirmed to be the knife he had used to threaten people. Witnesses from the second bar corroborated that the man had threatened them with a metal knife, so he was arrested and brought before a judge for serious threats.
