The accused, who already had a record for gender-based violence and sexual offenses, allegedly took advantage of contact with his daughter during visits to the prison to sexually touch her. The prosecution also accuses him of a previous sexual assault, committed before his imprisonment, when he allegedly raped the child at the family home in Palma. For these crimes, the prosecution is requesting a total sentence of 18 years in prison for several counts of abuse and sexual assault, in addition to the payment of €30,000 in compensation for moral damages to the victim. The trial is scheduled to begin at 9:45 a.m. at the Palma courthouse.
