PalmPresident Marga Prohens on Tuesday lashed out at Lluís Apesteguia, leader of MÉS per Mallorca, accusing him of "turning a blind eye" to the €1.5 million fraud allegedly committed by beneficiaries of the Guaranteed Social Income (Resoga) program when the pro-independence party managed the aid. In response to a question from the deputy, the president criticized the management of former councilor Fina Santiago, asking whether it was attributable to "incompetence" or "collusion." Prohens made these statements after Apesteguia criticized her inaction regarding inflation in the prices of basic goods and the housing shortage, while, on the other hand, she is trying to appease Vox by repealing the Historical Memory Law and the language policy.

Prohens has defended her record of promoting a reduction in income tax, free education for children aged 0 to three, free public transportation (although this is guaranteed by the Spanish government), and an increase in the island allowance for civil servants. She also criticized MÁS for supporting salary cuts for civil servants in the previous legislature.

Support for the Minister of Health

Meanwhile, the president defended the Health Minister, Manuela García, following criticism from the PSIB regarding her healthcare management. "The minister shouldn't be criticized for the criticisms of the Socialist spokesperson," she said, alluding to Iago Negueruela: "They are responding to the PSOE's political strategy; their time in Gaza is over and the..."wonder fleet'Franco, and now it's healthcare's turn.'

Negueruela has blamed García for the increase in waiting lists, the problems with ambulances, and the lack of staff. "They have more resources than ever, and we are worse off than ever. There are ambulance vans that can't be driven, and 15,800 people are waiting for surgery, 3,000 more than a year ago," he denounced.
