The pickpocket hunter, now in Cala Ratjada: records two alleged thieves following elderly people
The man who became known in Alcúdia for warning about thefts from tourists has published new videos where he identifies and follows two alleged pickpockets on the promenade
Cala RatjadaWith the arrival of the tourist season, pickpockets are reappearing in the busiest spots in Mallorca. Promenades, markets, and areas with a large influx of visitors become usual settings for this type of theft each year, especially targeting tourists and the elderly.
Now, the one known as the Alcúdia "pickpocket hunter" has acted again, this time in Cala Ratjada. The resident, who for years has been recording suspected thieves and posting the videos on social media to alert residents and visitors, has published new content clearly showing him following and recording two people who, according to his denunciation, were trying to rob elderly people on the promenade.
In the images, shared on the @sk11noninavideos account, you can see how the alleged pickpockets observe the movements of various elderly people as they walk through the busiest area of the promenade. He records them up close, without losing sight of them, and also warns other people passing by the area.
The message the author wanted to convey is direct: “People have been detected trying to steal on the promenade. Especially near elderly people”. He also asks for maximum attention and encourages sharing the warning: “More eyes, fewer opportunities”.
It is not the first time this neighbor has done this task. At the end of 2025, he already gained notoriety after publishing several videos from Alcúdia, especially in the historic center and at the bus stop, where he showed frustrated theft attempts. Some of his recordings exceeded one million views.
As he explained then, he began to detect this situation in 2018 and since then he has even warned tourists directly when he observed suspicious movements. In one of the most well-known videos, he even shouted “Pickpocket!” just as they were trying to steal from a visitor, preventing the theft.
He himself assures that market days and high season months are especially delicate, and argues that it is not a specific problem of Alcúdia, but a network that moves through different tourist points in Mallorca.
Now, Cala Ratjada joins this list. And with the new images, the same message returns: vigilance, prevention, and making visible a problem that, according to his complaint, returns with more force every summer.
