MenorcaA cyclist who had disappeared this Saturday has been found lifeless today in Ciutadella, Menorca. The man had gone out in the morning to do a bike route through the Pont d'en Gil and La Falconera area, but had not returned, which triggered a search operation.
The search began on Saturday around 9 p.m., when the disappearance was reported. Local Police officers, Civil Protection personnel, volunteers, and a drone from the Menorca Search and Rescue Association (Buresmen) participated in the operation.
The search efforts continued throughout the early morning. At the beginning of this Sunday, the Menorca Firefighters also joined to reinforce the operation.
Finally, the cyclist was found lifeless around 9:30 a.m. For the moment, no further details have emerged about the circumstances of the death, which will have to be clarified based on the investigation.
