PalmaLlorenç Galmés has claimed in his speech the centrality of the Popular Party as the majority force in Mallorca, defining it as “the party that most resembles the people here” and that represents the social majority. At a moment he has described as decisive, one year before the regional, insular, and municipal elections, he has warned against any overconfidence despite the improvement in results compared to 2023. The insular president has appealed for internal unity and party mobilization to consolidate the territorial and organic growth achieved in recent years.

The speech has also highlighted the PP's municipal expansion — from 12 to 26 mayoralties — and the increase in membership, as well as the role of New Generations and local committees, which he has defined as the party's “great capital”. Galmés has insisted on the idea of a PP that keeps its word and is not guided by polls, claiming direct contact with citizens as the best political thermometer. In this regard, he has sought to reinforce the image of a party rooted in the territory and cohesive.

In ideological terms, he has set his own profile by highlighting the PP as a party “of moderation, good sense, and the center”, and has launched an explicit message against populisms, with a literal formulation: “And also, why not say it, we are the useful vote for those citizens who want stable, centered governments that solve real problems, in contrast to populisms that only generate division and no effective solution.” This appeal takes on special relevance in the context of governing with Vox, and is interpreted as a call to reinforce the moderate line within the executive. In parallel, he has strongly criticized the PSOE and Pedro Sánchez for corruption cases and for a management that, he said, divides society.

Finally, Galmés has defended the management of the Consell de Mallorca, highlighting investments in municipalities, improvements in services and infrastructure, and mobility measures. He has also advocated for tourism as an economic engine and has called for greater State involvement in migration matters. In the identity sphere, he has stressed that the party will continue to defend its own language, culture, and heritage as symbols of Mallorca, “from freedom and without sectarianism”. The popular leader has closed the speech with a mobilizing tone, presenting the PP as an “unstoppable force” prepared to face a new stage and revalidate citizen confidence.
