The Government is confident that tourism will not grow during peak season
Antoni Costa says that the Executive "wants to avoid, with all its might, the phenomena of overcrowding and congestion that occur in high season"
Government spokesman Antoni Costa expressed his hope on Friday that next season will see "zero growth" in the number of tourists, especially in overnight stays, although the total number of visitors for the year may continue to grow.

At the press conference following Friday's Cabinet meeting, Costa expressed his satisfaction that forecasts indicate 70% of hotel capacity will be open by mid-March, confirming the goal of reducing seasonality that has been pursued for over 30 years. "This government is determined to avoid, with all its might, the overcrowding and congestion that occur during peak season; we believe we are on the right track," he stated.
