The residents of Pere Garau ask that the new ORA reaches both sides of Reis Catòlics
Flipau amb Pere Garau demands more coherence in the limits of the regulated zone
PalmaThe citizens' platform Flipau amb Pere Garau has asked the Cort Mobility area to include the sidewalk of the even numbers of Reis Catòlics street in the ORA zone expansion "to avoid comparative grievances". The horizontal signaling for the expansion of the ORA zone in Palma has already begun, with an eye on the new regulation, which will come into force on January 1, 2027.The platform believes that including only one side of the street could also generate "confusion" among residents. As an example, it points to the street of Josep Darder Metge, where the ORA zone is applied to both sides even though they belong to different neighborhoods. Flipau amb Pere Garau had already previously requested actions on Reis Catòlics and other streets in the area due to problems related to the occupation of sidewalks by vans.
Regarding the new regulation, residents will be able to start requesting the new virtual badge starting September 16th. The processing will be done in person at the SMAP offices at 6 Sant Joan de la Salle street, in Palma, with the corresponding documentation.
