The Spanish Association Against Cancer has expressed its gratitude for the involvement of citizens and the efforts of volunteers.
PalmWith the slogan "Together we are a 10," some 5,000 people participated this Sunday in the 10th edition of the charity race "Mallorca en Marcha contra el Cáncer," organized by the Spanish Association Against Cancer in the Balearic Islands, the organization reported.
Despite the rain that accompanied the entire morning, the streets of downtown Palma were filled with runners and walkers who took part in the eight-kilometer race and the four-kilometer popular walk in a festive atmosphere and a commitment to the fight against the disease. The ceremonial events were attended by the President of the Government, Marga Prohens; the Minister of Health, Manuela García; and the President of the Mallorcan Council, Llorenç Galmés.
This year's motto, "Together we are a 10," sought to highlight the unity of Balearic society around a common cause: supporting people with cancer and their families, promoting research, and fostering healthy lifestyle habits. The Spanish Association Against Cancer expressed its gratitude for the involvement of the public and the efforts of the volunteers and emphasized that the success of this tenth edition demonstrates that Mallorca remains committed to solidarity, health, and hope.
