A British developer will build a luxury housing estate in Font de la Cala

PalmaThe British developer Taylor Wimpey has announced that it will build a new luxury residential development in Font de la Cala, in the municipality of Capdepera (Mallorca). It involves 18 new homes in a natural area already heavily punished by construction and where the territory is very mistreated. The apartments, with two or three bedrooms, will cost more than 800,000 euros for the cheapest one and will be ready in 2028.

According to the company, they will invest 10 million euros for the construction of these 'sustainable' homes. In this regard, they highlight that the new properties "will have energy rating A". "Energy efficiency is one of the central elements of the residential project, which provides for the production of domestic hot water through aerothermal energy, while the air conditioning will use air-to-air heat pumps with inverter technology. The project combines these facilities with carpentry with thermal bridge insulation and double insulating glass," they assure.

Furthermore, the company boasts of being one of the developers that have built the most in Font de la Cala, where they explain that they built the first development in 1989. "We have already built other developments such as Vistabella, Vistamar, and Villas de Na Taconera," they celebrate amidst the controversy over the destruction of the territory that residents have been criticizing for years.

To promote themselves, they sell the new development as a "perfect" place that is "only a 10-minute walk from the beach" and very close to Capdepera, Cala Rajada, and four golf courses.
