Two British tourists are in serious condition after being run over in Ibiza.

The victims are admitted to the Intensive Care Unit of two hospitals on the island.

PalmTwo women, one aged 26 and the other 27, both British, are in intensive care at two hospitals in Ibiza after being hit by a vehicle in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

According to the Policlínica Nuestra Señora del Rosario, the hospital where the first victim is being treated, the patient was admitted shortly after 3:40 a.m. after being hit by a car on the Sant Antoni road, at kilometer 12,600, and being taken to the center by a paramedic.

The young woman is recovering from head trauma, thoracic trauma with rib fractures, a fracture of the tibia and fibula in her right leg, a fracture of the fibula in her left leg, and several multiple bruises throughout her body.

Shortly after, the Ibiza Health Department reported that the second victim of the accident, a 27-year-old woman, was hospitalized at Can Misses in a serious condition, but is in stable condition. Her injuries are very similar to those of the woman admitted to the Nuestra Señora del Rosario Polyclinic.

The identity of the person responsible for the accident and what really happened is still unknown. Police have begun an investigation to clarify the events.
