BunyolaBunyola takes a step forward in public housing. The Balearic Housing Institute has put out to tender the drafting of the project for the construction of ten public protection homes in the municipality, an action that aims to expand the public stock and facilitate access to decent housing, especially for young people and families.

This tender represents the first step to make the future public housing development a reality at a time marked by the difficulties of access to housing affecting many municipalities in Mallorca. The project opts for a sustainable housing model, adapted to current needs and designed to respond to the municipality's residential demand.

The initiative is part of the actions promoted by the Government of the Balearic Islands to increase the supply of affordable housing and expand the public stock, especially in municipalities where housing prices have increased significantly in recent years.

The future homes will offer new opportunities to residents of Bunyola who currently have difficulties accessing a home, especially young people who want to become independent and families seeking affordable rental alternatives. With this action, the municipality takes another step to ensure that the population can continue to live in the town and improve the quality of life for its residents.

The tender can now be consulted on the Public Sector Contracting Platform, where the contract conditions for the project's drafting are detailed. This initial phase will define the characteristics of the homes before the future execution of the works.

With this project, Bunyola joins other municipalities in the Balearic Islands that are promoting new public housing developments with the aim of tackling the housing crisis and guaranteeing more opportunities for residents.
