PalmThe Palma City Council and the Rotger Villalonga Foundation have organized the lecture series Miquel Costa i Llobera: identity, language, context and receptionThe event will take place at Can Balaguer throughout March. The sessions will be held in the Matilde Escalas room and will cover different aspects of the life and work of the poet from Pollença.

The series includes three lectures scheduled for March 11, 18, and 25, all at 7 p.m. The first session, entitled Cost and identityMargalida Cànaves will give her presentation on the 11th. On March 18th, Maria Pilar Perea will present her talk. The embodiment of linguistic resources in the poems of Miquel Costa i Llobera. Finally, on March 25, Damià Pons will give the conference The work of Miquel Costa i Llobera: its cultural and social reception

The presentation of the series this Monday was attended by the Director General of Heritage and Interpretation of the City, Pilar Ribal; the head of the cultural area of ​​the Rotger Villalonga Foundation, and the director of the publication Cala Murta and the conference coordinator, Margalida Tous, and the foundation's manager, Joan Comas.

As for the speakers, Margalida Cànaves holds a degree in Art History from the University of the Balearic Islands and a postgraduate degree in Heritage Management and Museology from the National University of Distance Education (UNED). She is currently a cultural officer at the Rotger Villalonga Foundation.

Maria Pilar Perea is a professor of Catalan Dialectology and History of the Catalan Language at the University of Barcelona and specializes in linguistic description, dialectology, and verbal morphophonology. She has conducted several studies on the work of Antoni Maria Alcover and Francesc de Borja Moll.

Damià Pons, for his part, is a poet, essayist, and historian, and has also worked as a cultural manager.
