PalmSeveral feminist groups have called for demonstrations in Mallorca next Sunday, March 8th, to mark International Women's Day (8M). The demonstrations, organized by different sectors of the feminist movement, will take place in Palma at different times and along different routes, and are open to all citizens. The demonstration called by the Feminist Movement of Mallorca will depart from Plaça d'Espanya at 12:00 and will proceed through several streets in the center of Palma. Through social media, the association has stated that the objective is to defend the rights already won and to demand those that are still lacking in the areas of gender equality, social justice, and the fight against gender-based violence.

Meanwhile, the Transfeminist Coordinating Committee of Mallorca will march from Plaza de España at 6:00 PM under the slogan "We will do it again, more feminist than ever," and will proceed through several streets. A reading of the manifesto and several speeches are also planned.
