PalmThe Educational Inspection of the Ministry of Education and Universities will open an investigation at the Pere de Son Gall Integrated Vocational Training Center in Llucmajor for an alleged case of workplace harassment. Sources from the department have explained to Europa Press that the area plans to undertake a psychosocial evaluation of the center following a report on occupational risks. The same sources have explained that the usual protocols have been activated to clarify the circumstances that have motivated some complaints. The evaluation will take place after several complaints and a report linking a teacher's pathological condition to the work environment.
Thus, Education will await the opinion of the Occupational Risk Prevention service before deciding on the steps to be taken regarding the possible case of workplace harassment at the Pere de Son Gall FP center. Vera has defended that the Ministry's protocols in situations like this "work correctly" and added that, if the Occupational Risk Prevention report recommends preparing a psychosocial report for the entire faculty, it will be proceeded with.
According to the counselor, this new report will be fundamental for professionals to indicate whether it is necessary for the Educational Inspection to intervene. Therefore, he stressed that the existing protocols are the ones to be followed and expressed his "utmost respect" for both the Occupational Risk Prevention service and the Educational Inspection, who are responsible for taking measures in the face of "any suspicion." Finally, Vera pointed out that, once the need for this psychosocial report is clarified, it will be time to decide whether it will be necessary to adopt additional measures.
