Eroski Baleares donates 49,000 euros to 14 child welfare associations
The cooperative has already assessed 394 companies and is consolidating a support model to improve competitiveness and adaptation to new environmental and social demands.
PalmThe Eroski cooperative concluded the thirteenth edition of its 'MeasureSmiles' solidarity campaign in Palma with a symbolic donation of €3,500 to each of the 14 participating organizations. In total, the initiative raised €49,000 through the sale of the traditional illustrated calendar-rulers in supermarkets across the Balearic Islands, this year under the slogan 'Thank you for making solidarity measurable... in happiness'.
The funds will be used to finance projects by Abaimar, ABDEM, ACCAB, Adiba, Asnimo, Aspace, Aspanob, Centro Mater Misericordiae, Dentistas sobre Ruedas (Dentists on Wheels), Disfam, Fundación Nemo, Fundación Respiralia, Proyecto Junts, and Sonrisa Médica. The aim is to support children and young people facing various difficulties and contribute to improving their quality of life.
Among the beneficiary initiatives are projects supporting children receiving palliative care and their families; programs to foster social relationships and emotional skills in young adults aged 18 to 25 with multiple sclerosis; and the improvement and adaptation of a sports field designed as a key space for physical activity and socialization.
Over the past three months, Eroski customers in the Balearic Islands have been able to purchase nearly 50,000 collectible calendar rulers for the symbolic price of one euro. With three different designs, these multifunctional rulers—which also serve as bookmarks—have become, once again, a symbol of shared solidarity, continuing to "measure smiles" and joining forces for the benefit of children.
