From Mallorca to the Himalayas: the month-long adventure of two young Majorcans

PalmaTwo young people from Mallorca have completed a month-long expedition through Nepal as part of the first Asian edition of Ruta Inti, a program of adventure, social immersion, and cultural exchange that has brought together 200 participants between 18 and 25 years old.

During the experience, participants have traveled through various sections of the Himalayas, the Mustang district, and Chitwan National Park. They have also slept outdoors on an academic and cultural itinerary conceived as a traveling university, according to the organization.

Ruta Inti promotes a way of traveling based on respect for the environment, coexistence with local communities, and cultural exchange with the visited territories.

The two Mallorcans were able to be part of this first Asian expedition thanks to scholarships granted by the Consell de Mallorca.
