From Mallorca to the Himalayas: the one-month adventure of two young Mallorcans

PalmaTwo young people from Mallorca have completed a month-long expedition through Nepal as part of the first Asian edition of Ruta Inti, a program of adventure, social immersion, and cultural exchange that has brought together 200 participants between 18 and 25 years old.

During the experience, participants have travelled through various sections of the Himalayas, the Mustang district, and Chitwan National Park. They have also spent nights outdoors on an academic and cultural itinerary conceived as a travelling university, as reported by the organization.

Ruta Inti promotes a way of travelling based on respect for the environment, coexistence with local communities, and cultural exchange with the visited territories.

The two Mallorcans were able to be part of this first Asian expedition thanks to scholarships granted by the Consell de Mallorca.
