Justice rejects the suspension of Mallorca Live and Es Jardí requested by nightlife business owners
The judge considers that the complainants have not proven the existence of damages that justify the adoption of a measure such as suspension
PalmaA court in Palma has dismissed the suspension of authorizations granted by the Calvià City Council for the holding of Mallorca Live and Es Jardí, which had been requested by the Balearic Association of Leisure and Entertainment.
In its resolution, the judge concludes that the complainants have not proven the existence of damages that justify the adoption of a precautionary measure such as suspension.
For this reason, the current authorizations will remain in effect while the main proceedings are resolved, as reported by the organizer of the musical events, La Isla & Co, in a statement. In this way, the programming of Mallorca Live and Es Jardí Mallorca will continue to develop with complete normality, offering legal certainty to the organization, artists, workers, collaborating companies, sponsors, and the attending public.
The promoters of both projects have highly valued this judicial decision, which supports the continuity of a musical program that generates "a significant economic, tourist, and social impact for Calvià and for Mallorca as a whole". Likewise, the organization has reiterated that its commitment goes "beyond strict compliance with regulations", as they will continue working with public administrations to guarantee the correct development of the activity and its compatibility with social coexistence.
