PalmaThe scheduling of an Ayax and Prok concert next Saturday, November 28, at Es Gremi has sparked criticism from the feminist collective Mu.Ma.Re (Revolutionary Mallorcan Musicians), which questions why one of Mallorca's main music venues is providing a platform for the two rappers from Granada, against whom dozens of testimonies from women have been published, pointing to them for alleged sexual abuse, assault, harassment, and mistreatment.

The association explained to ARA Balears that Es Gremi's decision, whether through direct programming or renting out the space, represents a "major lack of cultural responsibility." In this regard, Mu.Ma.Re is demanding explanations regarding the ethical and social responsibility criteria applied by the venue to maintain the artists' public presence despite the accusations that have been made public since the autumn of 2024.

The controversy surrounding the two brothers broke out in October of that year, when the Instagram account @denunciasgranada began collecting anonymous testimonies from women recounting alleged episodes of sexual and sexist violence attributed to the rappers. In December 2024, RTVE reported that more than 80 women had shared experiences of this type. The singers have denied the accusations and labeled them as false.

The consequences also reached their professional activity. The concert they were scheduled to perform at the Wizink Center in Madrid in March 2025 was canceled by the promoter following the publication of the testimonies, and their representation agency announced it was suspending its ties with the duo. Furthermore, Ayax initiated legal proceedings against journalist Cristina Fallarás for publishing an anonymous testimony from a woman on Instagram that recounted an alleged sexual assault. The rapper believes his right to honor has been violated and is claiming compensation of 750,000 euros. Fallarás has defended that the account she published did not identify the artist.

Mu.Ma.Re questions the venue's protocols

Beyond the specific programming, the collective wants to place the debate on the responsibility of concert venues regarding artists against whom accusations of this severity weigh. In this sense, it demands to know what protocol Es Gremi has in place for possible situations of harassment and sexual assault and what measures it applies to protect the attendees, the workers, and the artists who pass through its facilities.

Mu.Ma.Re also recalls that other music venues outside of Mallorca have acted differently regarding the controversy surrounding the two brothers and considers that the decision to give them visibility cannot be decoupled from the social and cultural commitment of musical spaces. "One must ask what ethical and social responsibility criteria this venue applies and what they gain from maintaining the public presence of two rappers with this record," points out the entity, which concludes that it is necessary to open a reflection on the limits of musical programming: "Not everything is business".
