One dead and two injured in an accident in Portocristo: the car has collided with a tree and overturned
The accident took place tonight on the road between Manacor and Porto Cristo and the Firefighters had to intervene to rescue the occupants
PalmaA man has died and two others have been injured, one seriously and one lightly, in a traffic accident that occurred last night in Porto Cristo. The incident took place shortly before midnight, when the car in which three people were traveling went off the road, hit a tree, and ended up overturning.
The accident occurred around 11:50 p.m. on the MA-4020 road, which connects Manacor and Porto Cristo, at kilometer 7.5, as reported by 061.
The vehicle suffered significant damage to the passenger compartment, which forced the Firefighters to intervene to extract the occupants from inside.
One of the men was trapped inside the vehicle and died as a result of the impact. The emergency services could do nothing to save his life.
A second occupant, 41 years old, was seriously injured. The 061 activated the severe polytrauma code to alert the Son Espases University Hospital of the arrival of the patient, who was transferred there.
The third occupant, a 35-year-old man, suffered minor injuries and was evacuated to Manacor Hospital.
The investigation will now have to determine the reasons why the vehicle went off the road and ended up hitting the tree.
