Political orders detected in city halls to not regularize migrants
The EAPN Network for Inclusion has issued a ten-point plan in which they demand that public administrations deploy the necessary resources to ensure this process reaches everyone
PalmThe EAPN Balearic Islands Network for Inclusion has detected political guidelines in island town halls to curb the reinforcement of personnel in social services that are attending to migrants in the processing of vulnerability certificates within the framework of the extraordinary regularization process.
The network entities have issued a decalogue in which they demand that public administrations deploy the necessary resources to ensure that this process reaches everyone and is carried out as efficiently as possible, always guaranteeing in-person attention.
In the same vein, they reject "fallacious and criminalizing arguments" that some institutions and political parties are spreading against the process, while at the same time welcoming constructive criticism aimed at improving the process.
EAPN has also asked the Ministry of Inclusion to immediately launch a campaign to deliver all real and up-to-date information to all people who can benefit from it.
They have also demanded that municipal offices provide all information and advice to migrant persons.
The network also recommends that potentially beneficiaries and the entities accompanying them only obtain information through official sources. They have also condemned regrettable attitudes "from those who want to take advantage of this process by offering services at abusive and unacceptable prices".
