PalmThe unions have publicly denounced the blocking of the Urban Development Plan at Palma City Hall following initial meetings with the new Councilor for Citizen Security and Public Service, Llorenç Bauzá. They explain that the situation "has been exposed" and the document will not be implemented immediately, as Mayor Jaime Martínez promised, because the Human Resources department refuses to sign the proposal.
The union group criticizes the fact that a "technical office" is able to halt improvements they consider essential and warns that the mayor's word is now "in doubt." However, they have decided to postpone the mobilization initially planned for March 26th and give the new political leaders a chance to try to resolve the situation and provide a real solution.
Despite this temporary truce, the unions insist that their objectives are "non-negotiable," among which they highlight a across-the-board wage increase, which It will have an impact of 10 million euros on the municipal coffers.and equal working conditions between units.
