PalmaMore than 4,000 vocational training students in Mallorca will be left without the emotional well-being promotion and mental health prevention program 'Flip Up. Turn your emotions around' this school year due to "an error in the administrative processing" by the Council of Mallorca, according to the Mental Health Federation. The situation also implies the loss of jobs for the professionals from 3 Salut Mental linked to the project.

The program reached 4,007 students from 30 educational centers during the 2025-2026 school year, with 424 workshops. According to the Federation, 213 young people who participated ended up seeking help or emotional counseling from teachers, counselors, or other professionals at the centers.

The continuity of 'Flip Up' had been publicly announced by the Council and 3 Salut Mental last June. Now, however, the Administration has informed the entity that the program will not be able to continue during the 2026-2027 school year because the processing was not done "in a timely and proper manner." 3 Salut Mental has proposed various administrative alternatives to maintain it, but none have prospered.

The Federation criticizes that an administrative error affects students and professional teams. It also highlights that the program had obtained a rating of 4.2 out of 5 from students and 4.6 from teachers. Therefore, it demands that the Council find "urgently" a solution that allows the program to be recovered this same school year.
