PalmThe Union of Doctors of the Balearic Islands (Simebal-CESM) maintains the strike planned for next week, from April 27 to 30, against the draft of the Framework Statute due to the lack of agreement with the Ministry of Health. The strikes, the third this year, are maintained after the different meetings held with the Ministry regarding the demands of the Strike Committee, focused on achieving decent working conditions for doctors and the guarantee of public healthcare, Simebal stated in a press release collected by Europa Press.

In the Balearic Islands, the union has convened four informative assemblies aimed at the medical community, which will be held this Tuesday (Can Misses Hospital), Wednesday (Manacor Hospital), and Thursday (Son Espases Hospital and Mateu Orfila). Likewise, they pointed out that in the assembly on Thursday at 9:00 AM, which will take place at Son Espases and will be broadcast online, health centers and physicians who cannot attend in person will participate.

As in the other strikes, they have called for rallies, similar to those promoted by the Strike Committee at the state level. In the Islands, under the slogan 'Without doctors there is no healthcare,' the community will protest next Wednesday, April 29, in Ibiza and Palma at 5:00 PM and 6:00 PM, respectively. Similarly, during the four days of strikes, they will hold rallies at 8:30 AM in the different hospitals of the archipelago.

Simebal has stressed that this is "a key moment for the future of the medical profession and for the future of the national quality healthcare system" and has appealed for the "support and involvement" of both healthcare professionals and citizens.
