The educators return to claim the autonomous agreement despite the strike having been called off
The strike to which the educators were expected to join has been frustrated by an alleged error in processing unemployment in the Tamib
PalmaAround thirty people gathered this Tuesday in front of the Parliament to demand the negotiation of an autonomous collective agreement for educators of 0 to 3 years, despite the strike that began this same Tuesday on a national level being called off. The protest, called by CCOO, UGT, and STEI, took place this morning before the start of the plenary session in the Chamber.
The educators have displayed a banner that read 'For an autonomous early childhood education agreement. Dignification of teaching from 0 to 3 now!'. Slogans such as 'We don't understand how this salary has been allowed for educators from 0 to 3', 'we educate, we don't keep' and '0 to 3 is education' have also been heard.
The strike, which educators were expected to join, has been frustrated by an alleged error in the processing of unemployment in Tamib, as reported by the unions. It should also be noted that last week, with the mediation of the Government, the trade union organizations and employers' associations agreed to initiate the negotiation process for the autonomous agreement after nearly half a year stalled. The composition of the negotiating commission will take place on June 8 at the headquarters of the General Directorate of Labor.
