PalmThe terraces of the Estudi General Lul·lià hosted on Thursday, April 24, at 6:00 PM a solar observation workshop that allowed participants to discover the Sun in a safe and guided way. The activity, titled Solar Observation at the Estudi General Lul·lià, was led by Pep Marcús and offered a practical approach to solar astronomy.

During the session, attendees were able to observe the solar surface with the help of a smart telescope, an instrument that allows high-quality images to be obtained without compromising visual safety. The activity combined scientific outreach and direct practice, with explanations about the Sun's main characteristics and the phenomena that can be detected on it.

The workshop also placed special emphasis on recommendations for protecting eye health during solar observation, one of the key points of this type of outreach activities.

The proposal is part of a cycle of activities that also includes a previous conference held on April 17th at 6:00 PM. Both this talk and the workshop on the 24th have had the collaboration of Caixa Colonya, Club Newton, and Astromo. With registration, participants also received an ISO-approved goggle from the Astromo brand.

The activity has aimed to bring science in an accessible and rigorous way to the general public, combining theoretical explanation and practical experience in a controlled environment.
