According to the Israeli mediamako.co.il, during the interrogation Rigo stated: "The guards attacked me. I defended myself. They beat me. They dragged me with force. I had no other choice."

Rigo's detention in Israel had been extended by the court in Beersheba until this Friday, so it is not clear whether, following this request for preventive detention, she will be released or not.

For its part, the Global Movement in Gaza Mallorca celebrated the "foreseeable" return to Spain this Saturday of activist Reyes Rigo, the only Spanish member of the Global Sumud Flotilla in Israeli custody after her arrest on October 1. In a statement, the organization noted that Rigo's family and friends have spent "a few days of great anguish" and emphasized that they are "very happy" with the news of her return.

"We are very excited to be able to hug her and hear her tell us firsthand everything she has been through and experienced these past few days," they noted, adding that they would prefer for her to be the one to recount "her odyssey" when she returns and not get an idea from what the published have published.
