PalmThe Government has made three vessels available to Maritime Rescue that will join the search operation for the three migrants who were traveling on the sunken boat Wednesday in southern Mallorca, who disappeared during the crossing. A third vessel from the Directorate General for Fisheries, based in Colonia Sant Jordi, is expected to join the search this Friday.
In addition, the Directorate General has contacted the municipal coordinators of the beaches located between Llucmajor and Artà to inform the beach rescue services about the possibility of the appearance of any of the missing persons. They have also been asked to collaborate with their boats in waters close to the coast, within their area of operation.

The Civil Guard continues its search for the three missing people after a small boat capsized in southern Mallorca, in which one man died and another was injured. For now, the search is focused on the area where the boat sank, using air and sea resources. According to the Civil Guard, the search was still unsuccessful after 7:00 p.m. this Thursday.

At 1:55 p.m., the boat was located three miles south of Mallorca with 11 people alive on board and one body. Seven other people were rescued from the sea near the boat. Emergency services confirmed the death of the deceased and treated 19 injured people, according to SAMU 061. Three were taken in less serious condition to Manacor Hospital, including a 21-year-old man and two women, aged 28 and 19, respectively. A 30-year-old man was taken in serious condition to Son Espases University Hospital, while fifteen other people were treated at the scene.
