PalmaThe Federation of Local Entities of the Balearic Islands (FELIB) has presented the 2026 Jacobee Days, which will take place on June 5 and 6 in Caimari, Selva and Biniamar with the aim of promoting the implementation and dissemination of the Camí de Lluc to Santiago. The days, organized by the Association of Friends of the Camino de Santiago of the Balearic Islands with the collaboration of the Selva City Council and FELIB, are part of the actions to deploy a homogeneous signage system for the itinerary.

Jaume Ferriol, president of FELIB, highlighted that the initiative represents a step forward in consolidating a project that connects Mallorca with one of the main European cultural routes. Furthermore, he emphasized the importance of signage to ensure an accessible and recognizable route for pilgrims and citizens.

The activities will begin on Friday, June 5, at the parish of Mare de Déu de Montserrat with the official opening of the days, the presentation of the Camí de Lluc to Santiago and a discussion about experiences related to the Jacobean route. The main day will take place on Saturday, June 6, with the inauguration and blessing of new Jacobean signs in Caimari, Selva and Biniamar, considered outstanding points of the route. The program includes a walking route of between four and five kilometers between Selva and Biniamar, where a new sign will be installed before the closing of the days with a lunch at the Església Vella.

FELIB has pointed out that the meeting seeks to strengthen Mallorca's connection with the European network of Jacobean paths and to promote the heritage, culture and tradition of the municipalities through which the itinerary runs.
