PalmThe Second Section of the Provincial Court of the Balearic Islands has ordered the national and international search, arrest and imprisonment of CGR, the main defendant in the Lujo Casa real estate fraud case, so that the appearance under Article 505 of the Criminal Procedure Law requested by the Public Prosecutor's Office can take place.

The Court notified the parties involved in the proceedings of its decision this Friday, as CGR did not attend the hearing scheduled for noon today. "This is a convicted individual with a prison sentence exceeding 14 years and a history of fleeing to another country, Colombia, from which he had to be extradited to continue with the proceedings in this case," the judges stated. "Therefore, the precautionary measure requested by the prosecution is not only justified, but also proportionate and necessary," the magistrates emphasized in their ruling. This Thursday, the court sentenced CGR to fourteen years and nine months in prison and ordered them to pay six euros a day for 45 months, totaling 457,872 euros. The court found CGR guilty of aggravated fraud, membership in a criminal organization, fraudulent insolvency, and money laundering. The court determined that they offered future housing on a massive scale without owning the land, permits, financing, guarantees, or providing a special account, concealing all of this from the buyers.
