PalmWorkers' wages in the Balearic Islands remain below the national average, despite having registered the largest increase in the country since 2007. This is according to the study 'Wage Evolution 2007-2025' prepared by EADA Business School and the consulting firm ICSA Grup, which was presented this Wednesday.

The data indicates that although the remuneration of workers in the Balearic Islands has increased the most (+9.9%), it is still lower than the State average (28,577 euros) and significantly behind Madrid (30,288 euros), Catalonia (29,216 euros), Asturias (28,179 euros) and the Basque Country.

The compensation of middle managers in companies, meanwhile, fell by 0.6% since 2007, a decline surpassed only by that of the Basque Country (-1%). The rest of the regions registered growth. Thus, the average compensation for this type of worker in the Balearic Islands stands at €41,546 per year, above the national average of €42,822. Leading the way are Madrid (€45,787), Catalonia (€44,362), Asturias (€43,637), and the Basque Country (€42,918).

Meanwhile, the salaries of managers in the Balearic Islands have increased by 0.8% between 2007 and 2025, reaching €84,998 annually. These salaries, like those of other workers, are below the national average (€90,226) and lower than those in Madrid (€95,528), Catalonia (€92,443), Asturias (€88,970), and the Basque Country (€88,320).
