The agreement benefits all staff of the Balearic Administration and the instrumental public sector entities and is part of the measures promoted by the Govern to guarantee the maintenance of the purchasing power of public employees and provide stability to the working conditions of staff serving public administrations.

Improvement of holidays

Also in labor matters, the Governing Council has ratified an agreement that improves the holidays for civil servants. The measure, also agreed upon in the Sectoral Services Table of April 30 last, introduces more flexibility in the organization of holidays.

Among the new features, it is established that additional vacation days for seniority can be enjoyed starting the year after completing the corresponding period of service, which facilitates their application.

In addition, it is allowed to enjoy vacations outside the ordinary period throughout the year, in minimum periods of five consecutive business days, provided that the needs of the service permit.

The objective, as stated by the Government, is to better adapt the organization of working time to the needs of workers and public services.
