PalmaThe new edition of Incajazz will turn the capital of Raiguer into a meeting point for jazz lovers during the four Sundays of July. The event returns with a program of great artistic quality that combines Mallorcan talent, international projection, and innovative proposals, consolidating it as one of the benchmark musical events of the summer in Mallorca. The concerts will take place every Sunday at 9:00 PM and will offer a journey through different jazz languages, from new experimental trends to dialogue with traditional music, while including some of the most outstanding names on the international scene.

"With this program, Incajazz once again turns Inca into an essential meeting point for jazz lovers. We are committed to a quality, diverse cultural offering open to all audiences, which contributes to revitalizing the city during the summer and reinforcing our commitment to culture," highlighted the Councilor for Culture, Alice Weber. Thus, the program kicks off on July 5th with Mòpia, one of the most unique proposals to emerge recently in the Islands. The project fuses the energy of a jazz big band with the forcefulness and aesthetic resources of heavy metal, a combination unprecedented in Mallorca built entirely from original compositions. Driven by musicians and composers Jaume Rosselló and Josep Oliver Rubio, Mòpia opts for a contemporary, daring language with great stage presence.

On July 12th, it will be the turn of Xavi Torres Trio, led by the Majorcan pianist based in the Netherlands, one of the most recognized figures in current European jazz. The concert will feature the special participation of the prestigious Puerto Rican saxophonist Miguel Zenón, considered one of the great world references in contemporary jazz and nominated on several occasions for the Grammy Awards. The encounter between the two promises to be one of the most outstanding moments of this edition.

The third date will arrive on July 19th with Ovella Negra, a show that establishes a dialogue between jazz and traditional music from the Balearic Islands. The trio formed by Joan Frontera Luna, Pablo Di Salvo, and Teo Salvà will reinterpret jotes, boleros, fandangos, and other popular melodies with a jazz language, while dancers will incorporate a fusion between traditional Majorcan dances and swing. The result is an original proposal that vindicates popular culture from a contemporary perspective.

The festival will conclude on July 26th with the Miquel Àngel Rigo Quintet, led by one of the most respected musicians in the Balearic jazz scene. The group will present a repertoire that combines original compositions with the interpretive solidity of long-standing musicians, putting an end to an edition marked by artistic quality and stylistic diversity.
