One of the most disconcerting impacts of technology and social networks is inaction: we can let the rest of the planet know everything we dislike about the socioeconomic system we live in, and the display of verbosity implicitly makes us think we are doing something to change the world.

But some things don't change, and it's impossible to transform things from the comfort of the sofa, no matter how much we want to believe it. In fact, we can't even change our way of life to make it more in line with certain (humanistic) values by posting witty remarks. Without actions, words carry the same weight as a bird's feather floating in the air. They are light and have no more consequence than making us mistakenly think we are people with a strong critical sense of reality and that, as politicians like to say so much, we are on the right side of history, whatever that Manichaean expression means. Here I would like to make a digression: if 21st-century politicians talk about the right side of history, there is no choice but to stay on the wrong side, full of people who ask questions, demand, make mistakes, and strive to find a path. When Pedro Sánchez places himself on the right side, I suppose he does so out of amnesia regarding facts like Spain's arms trade and the lack of criticism and action towards regimes that do not respect human rights, such as China and Saudi Arabia.

Transforming the (our) world is uncomfortable, it forces us to get up, do things, think, make decisions that are anything but comfortable, and apply effort. Transforming things goes far beyond talking and is not a matter of appearances, but of meanings that shape our existence. Changing also implies thinking, something so simple and that makes us so human that it has become almost impossible lately.

In a subversive world, people would destroy what dehumanizes us and places us at different starting points, discriminations that we have created ourselves. The verb 'destroy' should not be feared if we apply it to society. In fact, we are destroying the planet with the approval of established powers and no one is scared. However, the destruction of accepted social norms, which only benefit a minority of parasites, must be followed by a construction.
