The National Police and Civil Guard carried out a new operation this Friday related to the drug money laundering ring that was dismantled earlier this month in Mallorca. According to sources involved in the investigation, Europa Press has learned that several people have been arrested and several searches have been carried out at different locations on the island. This Friday's arrests follow the three that took place last Tuesday, when three people allegedly acting as front men were captured. The case remains secret and is in the hands of Palma's Investigative Court No. 7.

The drug trafficking and money laundering criminal organization dismantled two weeks ago in Mallorca was smuggling cocaine and hashish from North Africa aboard high-powered inflatable boats. They first arranged a collection point somewhere in the Mediterranean, where they transferred the drugs from the so-called "gomas" to other boats. From there, they took the merchandise to Ibiza, where they stored it for a while before transporting it to the rest of the Balearic Islands and the Peninsula.

The joint operation, according to the National Police and Civil Guard, initially resulted in the arrest of 15 suspects. Among them are the alleged leader of the gang and leader of the United Tribuns, Stefan Milojevic, National Police Inspector Faustino Nogales, and lawyer Gonzalo Márquez. All of them are accused of being part of a Mallorcan criminal organization connected to other transnational organizations dedicated to the introduction of narcotics into Spain and money laundering.
