A butane gas cylinder explosion causes a fire in an apartment in Portocolom

PalmFirefighters in Mallorca are currently responding to a fire caused by a butane gas cylinder in an apartment in Portocolom. According to firefighters, the fire broke out this Wednesday in a six-unit building on Marina Street and mainly affected the living room of the apartment.

Residents of the building's second floor initially took refuge on the roof and were able to escape on their own. Firefighters are currently working to extinguish remaining hotspots and ventilate the building.
