A cyclist has died in a collision between two vehicles on the road between Santa Maria and Santa Eugènia.
This is the second cyclist to die in Mallorca in just a few days.
PalmA cyclist died this Friday in a head-on collision involving two vehicles on the Ma-3030 road, which connects Santa Maria del Camí and Santa Eugenia, in Mallorca. The accident, which occurred at kilometer 5.9 of the Ma-3030 heading downhill, involved a bicycle, whose rider was killed, a Volkswagen van, and a Peugeot Rifter, the Civil Guard reported. The Emergency Services received the call and activated medical teams, who traveled to the scene to attend to the victims, although they could only confirm the cyclist's death. The duty judge was informed of the incident, and a forensic doctor authorized the removal of the body at approximately 12:35 p.m., sources from the Civil Guard indicated. The Traffic Division of the Civil Guard has taken over the investigation of this fatal accident in order to determine its causes. On February 7th, a cyclist in his forties also died after being hit by a car on the old Inca road near the Consell industrial park.
