Cyclist seriously injured after being hit by a TIB bus in Palma

PalmA 40-year-old woman was seriously injured Friday afternoon after being hit by a TIB bus in Plaça d'Espanya in Palma. According to police sources, the incident occurred around 3:10 p.m. when the cyclist crossed a pedestrian crossing against a red light and without a helmet. At that moment, the bus started moving and struck her. As a result of the impact, the woman fell to the ground and hit her head. Emergency services arrived at the scene and transported her to Son Espases University Hospital, where she was treated for her injuries. The Palma Local Police's Accident Vehicle Unit (UVAC) is investigating the exact circumstances of the accident.
