First fine issued for a caravan for parking on rural land in the Balearic Islands
The fine could reach 40,000 euros.

PalmThe Ibiza Council has imposed the first two sanctions on a caravan for being parked on rural land and not having theauthorization to access the islandAccording to details, the fines could total up to 40,000 euros.
The Regional Minister for Territory and Mobility, Mariano Juan, announced these first fines imposed on social media since the vehicle restriction law came into effect on the island on June 1.
The regulations require caravans and motorhomes to spend the night in campsites, prohibit them from parking on rural land, and require the same access permit as all other vehicles arriving on the island until September 30.
In this case, the caravan is based in Barcelona and has been reported for two violations: one very serious violation for being parked on rural land, which carries fines of €10,001 to €30,000, and the other for not having an entry permit on the island, with a stipulated penalty of €10,000, as detailed this Wednesday by the Ibiza Council.
"The views to see the sunset, flouting territorial laws, will cost you dearly. We are determined to regulate flows and ensure balance," the councilor stated on the social network. The administration has added that raids are being carried out at various points along the Ibiza coast to ensure compliance with the regulations.
