Four arrested for stabbing a young man and leaving him blind in one eye in order to rob him in Palma
The events took place last week in the Quadrado square in Palma.
PalmThe National Police have arrested four young men for their possible involvement in the stabbing of a young man in Palma, who lost an eye, during a robbery. Officers from the Homicide Unit arrested them as the alleged perpetrators of attempted murder and two robberies with violence against two young men. According to police sources, the events occurred on January 10th at approximately 1:40 a.m. in Plaça Quadrado in Palma, when two young men walking home were attacked by four others. Two of the assailants approached one of the victims and threatened him with a knife to rob him. The young man handed over his belongings, and another of the assailants ripped a chain from his neck. Meanwhile, the other two attackers assaulted the other young man, and then the two young men who had robbed the first victim joined in. The four men beat the young man with objects and punches, holding him down so he couldn't move. The assailant with the knife stabbed him twice in the face, once in the eye. At that moment, a car appeared in the square, and the assailants fled. The driver helped the victims and took the injured man to a nearby medical center. Due to the severity of his injuries, the young man was transferred to Son Espases University Hospital and ultimately lost sight in one eye.
