Jaume Anglada during the trial for the hit-and-run: "I am losing income due to the sequelae"
The singer declared in the courts of Via Alemanya and detailed the physical and professional consequences of the accident
PalmaThe Mallorcan singer Jaume Anglada declared this Thursday at the Via Alemanya courts, within the framework of the judicial proceedings opened for the hit-and-run he suffered on August 8 last year in Palma. According to sources familiar with the case, Anglada explained that the after-effects resulting from the accident have had a direct impact on his professional activity and income.
During his statement, the musician pointed out that he suffers from voice loss, one of the main consequences of the accident, and stressed that this situation has reduced his work capacity and, therefore, his financial resources. The singer also stated that he does not remember the accident.
The events occurred on Joan Miró avenue in Palma, when Anglada was riding a motorcycle and was hit by a car driven by a 20-year-old youth, who was arrested shortly after at his home.
As a consequence of the impact, the singer was admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU) of Son Espases Hospital, where he remained for nearly two weeks before being moved to a regular ward at the end of August. He was discharged in early September.
The case remains in the judicial phase while the circumstances of the accident and the physical and professional consequences for the victim are analyzed.
