According to the newspaper Breaking NewsNow, officers from the police force's Homicide Unit are awaiting an autopsy to determine whether the death was natural or murder. Initially, the National Police are ruling out a violent murder, as no apparent signs of violence have been detected on the woman's lifeless body. They are also investigating why the 40-year-old man did not report his mother's death.
Officers found the body a few days ago in an apartment in the Santa Catalina neighborhood (Palma) after receiving a call from a Citizen Security patrol. According to initial investigations, it appears that the dead woman's son suffers from some kind of mental disorder.
